In this emotionally charged and inspiring episode, my long time client and coach Angela shared her story on not only how she lost 100 lbs but also how she made an incredible fitness comeback after spine surgery even when she was told she would never lift a weight in her life.
Angela’s career in fitness is broad, spanning three decades, and includes dance, private and corporate fitness training, group exercise instruction, and coaching in a variety of sport modalities at a competitive level. In her early career, Angela spent much of her time traveling the world for certifications, workshops, conventions, and conferences. She has a voracious appetite for knowledge, which translates well into her teaching. She has been an active participant in the CrossFit community since 2008, where her eclectic background has served her clients well.
Angela studied School Psychology with a specialization in learning disabilities. She was moving in the direction of medical school when she decided instead to dedicate herself to her passion for fitness. She returned to school to earn an M.S. in Sport and Health Science and continues to educate herself in order to better serve her clients. Her personal mission is to coach, educate, develop, and advocate fitness for people from all walks of life. Her areas of expertise are sports performance, strength and conditioning, women’s fitness, and weight loss & maintenance.
