Who’s running this
Hey, I’m Andres.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. At 19, I moved to the United States with one goal: become a sports dietitian and work with the best athletes in the world.
I got there. Five years at IMG Academy, then Director of Performance Nutrition at the Applied Science and Performance Institute. NFL, Major League Baseball, the NHL, MLS, Olympians. I wanted to be the best in my field, and I chased it hard.
The whole time, I was working on my own body. I was never the guy with a weight problem. I was the skinny guy. I promised myself I’d be fitter and stronger by 30, and I was.
Then life got real. I married the love of my life, and we went through three losses before God gave us our miracle, our son Maxi. Becoming a dad changed what fitness means to me. It stopped being about how I look. It’s about being there for him no matter what life throws at me, and making sure he watches his dad do the work.
“Health is the one area most men over 40 can’t master, because they put it behind everything else. I wanted to do the complete opposite.”
My dad taught me how to be a good man and a good father. What he didn’t do was take care of his health, and he’s paying for it now with aches and pains. That’s what I work to prevent, in my own life and for every man I coach.
Today my family lives a bit of a nomad life. Right now that’s Spain. I run the business from wherever we are, and I still train, eat well and take care of myself on the road. Most men over 40 put their health behind the kids, the work and the career. I decided to do the opposite. That’s what I teach.
